The new Simulation Research Interest and Implementation Group (RIIG) is guided by the International Nursing Association of Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) Healthcare Standards of Best Practice. With the rise in new technologies, the simulation research group aims to put nurses at the forefront of developing, designing, and implementing innovative simulation pedagogy.
Goals and objectives of this RIIG:
- Promote Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration among nursing scientists interested in simulation methodologies to foster a shared approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge Sharing: Provide a psychologically safe environment for sharing knowledge, experiences, and best practices in simulation research, including methodologies, tools, and applications.
- Ethical and Policy Support: Discuss best practices for ethical conduct in simulation research. Collaborate with policymakers and end-users to demonstrate the value of simulation research in informing policy decisions and improving organizational performance.
- Community Visibility: Engage with the broader community through simulation demonstrations and outreach activities to increase awareness and understanding of simulation methodologies and their potential impact.
- Publication and Dissemination: Encourage high-quality research publications and dissemination of findings through conferences, journals, and other scholarly outlets, contributing to the advancement of the field.
