2017 Advanced Methods Conference: Pragmatic Trials Call for Abstracts
The Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science will soon be accepting research abstracts for the 2017 Advanced Methods Conference: Pragmatic Trials. Presentations will be electronic posters only for the 2017 conference.

General Guidelines for Submission of Abstracts
Poster presentations will be selected that best exemplify the state of nursing science in the particular area. Only abstracts derived from completed research will be accepted. Research that has been previously presented at a national meeting or published will not be eligible for presentation. Abstracts should clearly specify how the work contributes to the current state of nursing science. Authors may submit multiple abstracts. Abstract presenters must be a member of the Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science at the time of presentation.
The abstract submission website will be open February 6, 2017 at this link.
You may edit your abstract through April 3, 2017. After April 3, 11:59 pm ET, your abstract is considered final and will be reviewed based on the content provided.
The cost for submitting abstracts for peer review is $50. There will be no fee for presentation of the abstract. In order to present at the conference, presenters will be expected to pay the conference registration fee before August 25th, 2017. Information regarding the conference, including the conference registration fees, will be available on the Council website in the coming months.
Your poster will be displayed electronically on monitors during the conference, and will be included in an online poster gallery following the conference that can be accessed by the public, with your permission. You will have a 30 minute window at the conference to present your poster and discuss your poster with interested attendees.
Your Abstract Should Include the Following Components (underlined):
Title: A brief statement of the nature of the investigation or purpose of the project.
Authors: All authors and affiliations.
Aims: The overall purpose, research question, or study hypothesis.
Methods: The study or project design and methods (sample, procedures, measures, and/or data
analysis). Please note that the study can use qualitative or quantitative methods.
Results: The study or project findings or products.
Conclusions: The overall impact of findings and relevance to nursing, healthcare, or health policy.
The body of the abstract (aims through conclusions) is limited to 250 words in total.
Review and Selection
The 2017 Planning Committee will determine the final selection of abstracts based on scores and recommendations from peer reviewers. Reviews will be completed based on submitter-identified abstract categories.
The online abstract submission process ends at 11:59 PM (EST) on April 3, 2017. The review process will begin in April and announcements are scheduled to take place in Late May.
