The National Institute of Nursing Research’s (NINR) recently updated its brochure, Palliative Care: The Relief You Need When You Have a Serious Illness. The revised publication is available in English and Spanish.

NINR’s palliative care brochure describes a comprehensive treatment that helps reduce or eliminate the pain and other symptoms of illness and medical treatments. NINR recognizes palliative care as a critical component of high-quality, evidence-based health care that can improve the quality of life for those with a serious illness.
