Important Message from the SNRS President

Over the past weeks we have witnessed the massive disaster that impacted the Southern Region. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the people of in the southern region states who are coping with the aftermath of the hurricanes, catastrophic flooding and power outages. We will continue to see our nation’s greatest natural disaster unfold before our eyes over the next few weeks with our members experiencing both short- and long-term needs as disaster victims. Through it all, we have seen the very best in humanity as people joined together to help each other. Nurses have been on the front line with other first responders in helping victims.

The Board of Directors of SNRS recognizes that in the face of a disaster of this magnitude, it is everyone’s responsibility to assist financially to help direct and provide resources to those in need. The BOD voted to provide a $1000 donation to the American Red Cross. We also urge our members who have not been impacted to also donate to an organization of their choice to assist those who have been impacted. During the weeks and months ahead, many of our members provide comfort to those in need and will volunteer to help disaster victims clean up and rebuild.

For those members who have experienced this disaster, please know that our thoughts are with you. If you have suggestions on how SNRS could assist other members through this difficult time, please share them with me or one of our Board members.
