American Nurses Foundation/Southern Nursing Research Society Grant

The purpose of the American Nurses Foundation/Southern Nursing Research Society collaborative grant is to encourage qualified nurses to contribute to the advancement of nursing through research. Proposals for pilot and/or development research may be submitted for this grant.

Research Funding
Funds for this grant are provided by American Nurses Foundation and the Southern Nursing Research Society in the amount of $10,000.

Funds for this grant do not cover expenses incurred prior to the funding date.

Who can apply?
Nurse researchers of all levels and expertise both in academia and in clinical settings are encouraged to apply. Applications are assessed on contributions to advancing healthcare science and improving patient-centered care. 

In alignment with the Foundation’s strategic priorities, the Foundation is accepting applications in 10 strategic areas:

Nursing leadership/ management 
Health of Nurses
African American Nurses
Credentialing
Clinical
Interprofessional
Psychiatric/mental health
Women’s Health
Gerontology
Social policy

Recipients should be members of SNRS at the time of application.  If there are no submissions from SNRS members, or none from SNRS members of sufficiently high quality, the Foundation/SNRS grant will not be awarded that cycle. 

Applicants must apply through the American Nurses Foundation.  Application deadline is May 1st.
