Welcome to the latest edition of SOJNR. I am pleased to be a part of this effort, and look forward to serving as Managing Editor. I have previous editorial experience as Editor-in-Chief of NAACOG and AWHONN’s Clinical Issues in Perinatal and Women’s Health, Associate Editor of JOGNN: the Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing, and Founding Editor of NAP Forum: Issues in Interdisciplinary Care. SOJNR has a new face and a new format. The RIGS will be developing topically-based issues of SOJNR, and we will devote one issue each year to the publication of abstracts from the Annual Meeting. In 2008 we will be presenting articles sponsored by the Education RIG and the Health Promotion RIG. In addition, we will publish the abstracts from the 2007 meeting and, later this year, the abstracts from the 2008 meeting. I am pleased to announce that I also look forward to receiving author-initiated submissions review and possible publication. I promise a timely review, author-friendly review process. If you are interested in becoming a reviewer, please let me know by completing the Reviewer Form and return it to me with a copy of your CV. I welcome Letters to the Editor and hope that the journal will become a source of lively scholarly exchange.
